How a referral becomes a payout
Sign up as an affiliate
Create your account and tell us what you do. There is no application review to wait on.
Pick your referral code
Choose one code, then share it as a link. Anyone who lands on MerchantFlow through your link has the code applied to their signup automatically.
They subscribe at a discount
Your referred merchant gets 10% off their MerchantFlow subscription for 12 months. That discount is what makes the recommendation land.
You earn on every payment
You earn 15% of what they actually pay, on every charge for 12 months, on every plan they are on.
What your audience gets
A real discount, not a trial extension
Your referred merchant pays 10% less for 12 months on any MerchantFlow plan. It applies on both monthly and annual billing, on the Starter, Pro, and Plus tiers, on Shopify billing and on card billing.
Applied at signup or plan change
A referral code can only be applied when a subscription is created or changed, never in the middle of an existing one. Send people to MerchantFlow before they subscribe, not after.
It stacks with the free trial
Referred merchants still get the standard trial. The discount starts when their first real charge does.
No commitment attached
The discount does not lock them into a longer term. They can change plan or cancel on the same terms as anyone else.
Payouts
Paid to your bank account, not a platform wallet
Commission accrues on your account every time a merchant you referred is successfully charged. Each amount is held before it becomes withdrawable, so refunds are settled before money moves.
Hold period
Commission becomes withdrawable 45 days after a monthly charge settles, or 90 days after an annual charge settles.
Withdraw on your schedule
Once your available balance reaches USD 50, withdraw it whenever you want from the Payouts page in your dashboard. There is no payout calendar to wait for.
Transparent Wise conversion
Transfers go out through Wise to your own bank account. Commission is tracked in USD, and Wise deducts its transfer fee and converts the remainder into your payout currency.

What affiliates ask before joining
Do I need to run an ecommerce store to join?
No. The affiliate program is open to anyone with an audience of ecommerce operators, whether or not you sell anything yourself. If you do already run a store on MerchantFlow, you can create a referral code from your existing account instead of signing up again.
How much do I earn per referral?
You earn 15% of what your referred merchant actually pays MerchantFlow, calculated after their 10% discount, on every charge for 12 months. What that adds up to depends entirely on which plan and billing cycle they choose, so we do not publish an average.
Is the commission recurring or one-off?
Recurring. Commission accrues on every successful charge for 12 months from the merchant's first payment, not just on their first invoice.
How is my referral tracked?
Your link carries your code as a query parameter. When someone opens it, the code is stored in their browser for 30 days and applied to the coupon field automatically when they subscribe. They can also enter your code by hand at checkout, which is the reliable path if they install from the Shopify App Store, because the App Store strips query parameters from install links.
When can I withdraw my commission?
Each commission amount clears 45 days after the monthly charge that produced it settles, or 90 days for an annual charge. The hold covers the refund window. Once your available balance reaches USD 50, you can withdraw it from the Payouts page at any time.
Which plans and billing methods qualify?
The Starter, Pro, and Plus plans, on both monthly and annual billing, whether the merchant pays by card or through Shopify billing. Commission is tracked in USD.
Can I use my own code on my own store?
No. Self-redemption is blocked, and each referrer has one code. If a merchant has already redeemed a different code, yours cannot be applied on top of it.
What if my referred merchant refunds or cancels?
Commission is only paid on charges that actually settled. If a charge is refunded before you have withdrawn the commission on it, that amount is reversed. This is what the hold period is for.
Are there rules about how I promote MerchantFlow?
Be accurate. Describe what the product does and quote the program terms as they are written on this page. Do not claim results, savings, or profit figures on a merchant's behalf, and do not bid on MerchantFlow brand terms in paid search.
