The ecommerce data layer for AI

Connect Trybe to Claude and ChatGPT

Trybe creators are paid on the sales they drive, but that commission never reaches the store's own numbers. MerchantFlow deducts it from every Trybe order, using the Shopify order tag those orders carry, so your AI answers profit questions with creator commissions already counted.

What you can ask once it is connected

“How much did we pay Trybe creators last month, and what was our profit after that?”

Last month your commission rules deducted 4,210 in Trybe creator commission across 184 orders, 4.9% of net revenue. Contribution margin after commissions was 31,060, and net profit 12,480. Before commissions, the same orders would have looked 4,210 more profitable.

What Trybe alone cannot tell you

Connecting an AI directly to Trybe is genuinely useful, and for some questions it is all you need. It stops being enough the moment the question involves money you spent somewhere else.

  • Shopify orders that came through your Trybe program
  • Meta ad spend on the creator videos you run as ads
  • Cost of goods on the products those orders shipped
  • Your other partner programs and operating expenses

What MerchantFlow adds

  • Creator commission deducted from each tagged Trybe order
  • Commissions reduced or removed when an order is refunded or cancelled
  • A Commissions line in your P&L, beside payment fees and ad spend
  • Past orders recalculated when you add or change a rule
  • One commission per order when an order matches several partner rules

MerchantFlow does not connect to Trybe itself: it reads the order tag on your synced Shopify orders and applies the commission rate you set, so the figures follow your rule rather than Trybe's payout ledger. Your AI sees commissions as a P&L line and inside each order's profit; there is no tool yet that lists commissions per creator or per order.

What merchants say

Store owners who trust MerchantFlow with their numbers

MerchantFlow has become one of the most valuable tools in my business. As a tradie building Mech Tools from the ground up, understanding true profitability is critical. MerchantFlow gives me clear, accurate data that helps me make better business decisions.

I've tried quite a few of these profit tracker apps (even tried making one myself), but honestly, none of them offer what MerchantFlow does and the ones that come close cost 10x the monthly price. My favorite feature by far is the integration with my 3PL, so the data I'm seeing is the actual data not a guess.

I've been using MerchantFlow for the last six months in order to better understand my brand's profitability. The tool has without a doubt been super insightful and allowed me to make changes within the business that have nearly doubled our brand's monthly profit. This is the best profit analysis and optimisation tool going around for any ecommerce brand owner right now.

Its super important for me to know my numbers down the the exact percentage and I can trust Merchant Flow to get it right. I've used other softwares in the past but none of them have half of the features this does and always end up not being correct. Highly recommend using it if you're running an ecommerce store.

Great app, and perfect for what i need to see all my numbers down to the cent across my 3 warehouses in USA, Australia and NZ. Nimesh is an absolute legend to work with. I highly recommend it! I even include this in my package of useful tools that I recommend to the entrepreneurs I mentor.

How to connect it

  1. 01

    Add a Trybe commission rule

In MerchantFlow, open Settings > Commissions, start from the Trybe template and confirm the Shopify order tag your Trybe orders carry. Past and future orders are priced automatically.

  2. 02

Add MerchantFlow to ChatGPT or Claude

In ChatGPT, open MerchantFlow from the plugin directory. In Claude, add it as a connector. Either way you approve read-only access and there is nothing to install. Your dashboard shows the current steps for each client, because the clients move their menus often. In Meta's Muse, ask it to create a custom connector with the MerchantFlow URL. In the Gemini app, add it as a custom app under Settings, Connected Apps.

  3. 03

    Ask in plain English

Your AI now reads the same figures as your dashboard, joined across every source you have connected.

MerchantFlow is listed in ChatGPT's plugin directory

Open the listing in ChatGPT, sign in or start a trial, and approve read-only access. There is no server URL to copy.

About the Trybe integration

Common questions

Does MerchantFlow need access to my Trybe account?

No. Trybe orders are recognised by the tag on your synced Shopify orders, so there is nothing to authorise in Trybe and nothing MerchantFlow can change there. Your AI client gets read-only access to the resulting figures.

Will the numbers match my dashboard?

Yes. Your AI calls the same calculations the MerchantFlow dashboard uses, so the same question over the same period returns the same figure in both places.
